Origin Country: India, Rajasthan
Reed length: 69 mm (all length is 111 mm)
Rigidity: average and very hard
Material: case - brass, reed - steel
Set: jaw harp (without case)
Description: The morsing is made in the classic Indian style and has all the qualities of traditional morsing. It is designed so that you can play on it using only breath. That is, by taking a long breath or a series of short, rhythmic breaths, we get a sound similar to the sound of a harmonica, as if it had only one note.
The reed is very hard, rounded to the central axis. You can play soft and slow sounding melodies, adding arrangements by breathing and articulation, and you can blow up the air with lumpy high overtones, especially acutely sounding when playing in small volumes.
The instrument's sustein is short, which is typical for reeds of such rigidity. All in all, it is a solid, very sonorous and appeasable morsing.
